There are a lot of things people do to have a sense of accomplishment, and even if they are not appreciated they still have their hobbies. Collecting different types of things that interest them is important to the collector, whether it is important to anyone else. Posterity is counting on them to keep certain things safe for future generations. Toys and cars are excellent choices for a collection, and unlike those twist ties in the kitchen drawer, these things can actually be worth money.
Collectors have existed since the beginning of human time, it started in those caves where archaeologists keep finding assorted piles of bones. Those bones were also used as tools, but they resulted as a collection of what was left over from dinner. Then there were the personal effects that have been found buried with early humans. They must have been some form of collecting.
As soon as something gets invented there is someone there to start collecting them. They invented coins and sure enough, there are now coin collectors. Misers probably thought that was a good idea, because the coins never left the coffer. Especially when you consider with enough time, everything ends up being worth more than it originally cost. So, of course, it is reputable to collect different things.
Model cars have been a collector item since the automobile was first invented. Some people only collect the ones they build, while others collect any type of model car. That surely makes them a worth while collectible item. Besides, it would be very difficult to store a full sized car on the top shelf in the living room, unless you want to destroy the house in your effort to do so.
Speaking of which, full sized cars are nice collectibles, too. Every type of car that has been made is being collected and stored in various museums across the world. Now future generations can see what transportation was like before the personal jet pack. This is probably a really good idea to collect cars.
Another kind of metal car that is collected are the die cast cars, they make a nice collectors item. These are the ones that made good toys for playing with in the dirt and sand, where kids could imagine being grown up and driving, and the miniatures on the shelf look so cute.
That brings something else to mind that is a good collectible. There used to be a toy set that came with a car, sometimes a wrecker, and a service station. Oil crisis were the end of full service gasoline stations, but somehow it seems like a good idea that such a memory be retained by a collection. Gone are the days of a station attendant filling up you car and checking the oil, water and airing up the tires.
For thousands of years, people have had hobbies, and collecting is a hobby. Toys, snake skins, if it ever existed, there is a possible reason for someone to collect them Collecting is actually a therapeutic activity that can calm people down by giving them a means of relaxing from the problems of every day life. Thanks to collectors, there are museums that currently house the artifacts of known time.
