If you are familiar with the Formula 1 racing scene, then the McLaren technical team is not a new face for you. Vodafone McLaren Mercedes strives not only to race, but also to win. Since 1966, the McLaren Formula 1 racing team has made groundbreaking progress in achieving outstanding results for grand prix motor racing. With many World Championship titles being awarded over the years, the McLaren team is a team that produces results.

When looking at the name Jenson Button, many individuals may question who he is and what he can bring to the McLaren team. Born in 1980 in Frome, Somerset, Jenson Button has quickly climbed up the podium standings. Beginning as early as 1989, Jenson Button finished first in the British Super Prix at the young age of only 9 years old. As the years moved on, so did Jenson Button's record for racing, with 1997 bringing him the Ayrton Senna Memorial Cup as the youngest ever to win the European Super A Championship.

Since 1998, Jenson Button has merged himself into the limelight of the world of racing each year with continuous championship standings and successes on the racetrack. With a few small setbacks, Jenson Button has managed to stay on top of his game and continues to find successes each and every year as part of the McLaren Formula 1 Team. 2004 was a positive year for Jenson Button with the recognition as being man of the year. With his excellent skills on the racetrack, only the Ferrari drivers for that year were able to beat him in the standings. But with a contract dispute arising, he is left facing some major decisions about his team.

As part of the racing team for Honda, Jenson Button managed to show off his skills in Brazil and Malaysia. This was coupled with his decision to leave his contract with Williams and therefore produced mixed results from many race fans and others on the track alongside him. Many waited for the coming months to see just what would result from this change in race teams.

The year 2006 brought with it a world-changing event for Jenson Button when he won the Formula One with Honda at the Hungarian Grand Prix. But no matter what area of life and work you pursue, all things do change and his position on the Honda race team was only temporary.

Although Jenson Button suffered a bit of a dry spell in his racing standings, many still believed that with the right equipment this Englishman would soon rise again to the top of the podium. Their beliefs did not go unwarranted, and soon he was switched to McLaren as part of the successful racing team. The more recent switch to McLaren to race alongside Lewis Hamilton has brought quite a bit of positive feedback from many race fans and those involved in the racing community. With anticipation about what the coming years will bring, the racetrack will undoubtedly be dominated by the presence of Jenson Button and his McLaren racing team.
