Throughout my life I have faced numerous struggles and challenges. I have been tested by many obstacles. But through it all 1 person was a hero to me and that was Manny Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiao is my role model in boxing and in life. I would like to accomplish fantastic issues in and out of the ring just like Manny Pacquiao.

Manny started with humble beginnings, he grew up in poverty. From there he became boxing champion of the world. How? As he said, "I combated poverty with boxing gloves and dreaming big." Manny has inspired me to do great things in my life because from his life we can learn that anything is possible. As long as you dream big. Manny Pacquiao has seven world titles. Actually it might be eight since he beat Margarito but I'm not sure. But that isn't what matters most to me about Manny Pacquiao anyway.

Manny Pacquiao grew up on the streets of General Santos City Philippines. He made money by buying doughnuts or cigarettes for five cents and then selling them for ten cents. Those are some rough wages. Pacquiao left his home to go to manila to train as a pro fighter as a teenager. He fought pro at age sixteen. He didn't fit in a weight division so he placed metal in his pocket to make weight to fight for a chance to earn money.

His story of hope, resilience and "never say never determination," inspired me to do terrific issues. But extra then anything, when I saw his ring entrance to fight Miguel Cotto in November 2009, it was the 14th or the 13th on a Saturday. For the greatest fight of his life, Manny looked nervous in the dressing room. But when I saw him make his entrance, he lit up with a large smile. Persons reached out to touch his boxing gloves and he gave each one of them a pound on the hand. That's when I realized what it means to have a positive energy, and attracting that type of energy from other people. In truth, I learned much much more then that from that entrance. I learned additional than I can say.

I have to say thanks to Manny Pacquiao, who helped me rise above all the pain in my life. Manny has inspired me to always fight on, and to always do one more round and to throw one more punch. Thanks Manny Pacquiao, no matter what happens, you will always be the number one pound for pound fighter to me. In short, yes, Manny Pacquiao is a modern day "Hero," to me. My dream is to one day be a "Hero," to those who needed one like I did. Thanks again Manny. And thank you for reading this short article.
